Witcher fans in shock! Superman fans happy?

Who would have ever thought that our beloved Henry Cavill, who played the role of Geralt in the Witcher series perfectly, would leave us for Superman?

In the many interviews there are of Henry Cavill on the Witcher, we hear him speak with love and passion about the character, the books and the games. So it comes as a gigantic surprise to many that he will no longer appear in season four (of the seven seasons that are planned) and will instead be seen back as Superman in the DC films. Spoiler for Black Adam, however, there we will see Cavill return as Superman, dating back to Zack Snyder's Justice League.

From various sources, it comes down to the same thing. Henry Cavill was at odds with the writers and producers of the series, as they deviated from the books, while Henry Cavill obviously absolutely did not want that. Moreover, Cavill's contract with Netflix ended. The actor could only do productions by Netflix during the period of the contract, but now that that is over, DC has become an option again. If he is then offered a nice salary to reprise the role of Superman, we can understand his decision.

Nevertheless, I think I speak for everyone when I say we will miss him and we will welcome Liam Hemsworth as the new Geralt, but it will be a process of acceptance and processing.

Thankfully, Henry Cavill will see one last time as Geralt in season 3, but of course that doesn't make the pain of his farewell any less present....
